He fits the tag of a bookworm but he refutes it vehemently. “To do well one does not need to be a bookworm, solving questions with logical reasoning is the key to success,” said Vipul Singh, who has topped the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) with a score of 412.

Singh, who hails from Bhilai, was in the Capital on Sunday to collect his award for securing the second position in National Science Olympiad. “I want to pursue Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Eventually I want to study MS and PhD from MIT, Boston and want to research in Mathematics,” said the 18-year-old who stood fifth in IIT-JEE.

Keeping up with the IIT-JEE results, the students in the Capital performed well in the AIEEE exams too. Satyender Yadav, from Uttam Nagar stood all-India sixth and second in the Delhi zone. Shivam Handa from Raja Garden stood all-India ninth and third in Delhi zone. .......Both of them want to pursue Computer Science from IIT-Delhi.

Yadav, who is originally from Haryana, shifted to Delhi two years ago to get coaching for IIT-JEE and AIEEE.
