About Me

Well Just wanted to try out a new page to my blogger and here it is

I am Ambarish Srivastava. I wrote IIT JEE in the year 1995 and got an All India Rank 538. I completed my B.Tech. from IIT Delhi in 1999 in Mechanical Engineering (C.G.P.A 7.76) and then M.Tech. in production Engineering (C.G.P.A 9.089). I used to be an ardent Hare Krsna Devotee, however I gave it all up (more about that later). After completing my M.Tech. I pursued research at IIT delhi and published two research papers however I could not complete my Ph.D. (got terribly bored by research). I quit Ph.D. and then joined as a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Rai University and shortly after that at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (I.P. University).

I found that students were not really interested in studying at  these engineering colleges, I started feeling nostalgic about my days of preparation for IIT JEE. So I quit my job as a lecturer and Joined FIITJEE limited as an Assistant Professor of Physics in the year 1995.

I started at a paltry salary of Rs. 24000 per month and through my hard work and God's Grace, I have achieved a salary of 1,37,000 per month and I am ambitious to grow it further. I have a lot of interest in reading (read more than 90 books, you can check out my linkedin profile for my reading list). I am also a certified competent communicator from Toastmasters's International.

At one point of time I had so much interest in Sanskrit that I could fluently talk day to day things in Sansrkit (I had done a Sanskrit Camp from Sanskrit Bharati) .I still have an interest however now I don't get that much time to study it. I want to be a rich person and then I want to lead an ascetic life. (To be precise , I think the day I have 5crore Rupees in my Bank Account, I will go to Dharmasala in Himachal Pradesh and take a formal training in Vipassana and other Buddhist Meditations, I am fascinated by the Novel , the Monk Who Sold his Ferrari and I fantasize living it out).
To find out still more about me you can read my earlier posts (especially 2007-2009) on my blog and view my profile (through the profile badge). If you like my blog, do send me a facebook/linkedin invite.
