The secret of my Success……is the amazing story of Nitin Jain, a young boy from an average middle class background, who has got outstanding grades and topped in every examination since he started schooling in Class I. After doing his secondary school, he continued this exceptional demonstration of academics and went on to secure the No. 1 position in IIT-JEE and AIEEE, two most difficult engineering entrance examinations in India where millions of bright students vie for the limited seats available.

After completing this amazing run, Nitin went on to represent India at three International Science Olympiads held in Indonesia, Iran and Mexico, and bagged Gold Medals at each of them. This made him the darling of the global media which splashed his incredible story to the world. It also brought him accolades from the high and mighty of India starting with the then President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Prime Mnister Dr. Manmohan Singh, both academicians of international repute.

Besides congratulations, Nitin’s parents have been flooded with calls from anxious students, parents, teachers and a multitude of people, who wanted to know all the details of how Nitin was able to achieve such heights. There were so many questions and it was physically impossible to share everything with every body. That is when the thought of writing this book germinated in the mind of his father, Mr. N.C. Jain.

This book tells the reader what made Nitin the achiever that he is? Is this some inborn talent, extreme passion or some supernatural energy that gets this boy going? How has his upbringing been? What is the secret of his unmatched intelligence? What has been his study schedule – his strategy for studying? Who are the people who supported him throughout his Herculean endeavors? What has been the role of his parents in his preparations? How did the parents support him in his efforts? Who, among his mentors rightly deserves credit for his success? Has he sacrificed a normal life to achieve all this? What undesired elements came along with his success?

This book will be invaluable for students who are looking to emulate the achievements of Nitin, for parents who are desirous of guiding their children to achieve excellence, and even for teachers who could take a leaf out of this book to learn from the experiences of Nitin’s teachers. Nitin has become an inspiration for millions of students across India who appear in the many competitive examinations that are held in this country. Often the lives of successful people teach us useful things about the route to success. Nitin Jain is one such example.

From beginning to till now the age of 17, Nitin Jain is always a topper in academic field. He has topped the India’s most prestigious engineering entrance exam IIT-JEE and AIEEE in 2009. Besides this, he was three times topper and Gold Medalist for India in International Science Olympiads, that has give his fame not only in India’s newspapers and media but also worldwide media. An example of this is following:-

The India team successfully won the best team title at the second International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) held in Lembang, West Java, although Indonesia won the most gold medals.
Results of the one-week competition were announced Wednesday at the Sasana Budaya Ganesha auditorium in Bandung, West Java.

Nitin Jain, 16, a senior high student from New Delhi, India, was named the absolute winner after collecting the highest score of all participants during the competition.
Thanks to Jain's achievement, India was also named the best team, although it only won two gold medals, two silvers and one bronze medal. Host Indonesia collected four gold medals, three silvers and two bronze medals. Thailand, who won the first IOAA in Bangkok last year, only got one gold medal and one bronze medal.
"We worked hard taking exam results from 15,000 students from all of the participating countries, picked five of them and prepared them for three weeks in a special camp in Bombay for this competition. We don't have astronomy as a subject in school. They just studied for three weeks for this," said Mayank Vahia, India's team leader, talking to the press after the announcement.

The IOAA secretary-general, Chatief Kunjaya, said that Jain had great intellectual ability compared to other participants.
The committee only distributed 10 gold medals in this year's competition. Last year, 17 gold medals were distributed.
"The judgment was made based on the average score taken from the three highest scores. Only a few of these contestants, met the average score," said Chatief.
"The questions and test material for this year competition were more difficult than last year's because India had asked the organizer to elaborate the materials in order to improve the competition quality and to highlight the event to the International Olympiad on Astronomy (IOA)."
The questions had been tested by 17 Indonesian astronomy experts since late 2007.

The jury considered Jain as an excellent participant because he was able to analyze the age of meteorites based on a complicated method using radio-activity.
Even experts needed one hour to solve one question while the participants were only given four hours to solve three questions.

Jain said he was so excited to participate in the competition and to successfully beat his competitors.
He said that he learned astronomy only when he was in a special camp in Bombay for 23 days together with four friends to prepare themselves for the competition.
"I like astronomy very much because it explains the nature of this world. I feel honored to take part in this," said Jain.
He said that his knowledge on data analysis was acquired from lecturers at the Indian Institute of Technology, who mentored the India team during their preparation stage.

Iran will host the third IOAA next year.
