The Delhi High Court has admitted a petition to put stay on the declaration of IIT-JEE 2010 results. The Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) entrance exam, which was conducted on April 11, came under fire of charges for errors in the instructions for examinees, who took the IIT joint entrance examination (IIT-JEE) in Hindi.

The case was registered in the High Court by a non-governmental organization (NGO), Satya Foundation, on April 23.

Chetan Upadhyaya, the Secretary and Counsel of Satya Foundation who submitted a list of major errors in the IIT JEE-2010 before the court, claimed that the officials of Joint Admission Board were trying to hide the issue instead of accepting their fault. Chetan also added that the Board denied re-conducting the examination.

On May 2nd, IIT-JEE board took appropriate measures in order to ensure that the genuine candidates are not affected by the examination errors.

It designed a point-by-point remedial action and posted the same on the IIT-JEE website. However, the petitioner has asked for a temporary stay on the declaration of the results till the hearing is going on and also the examination is re-conducted.
